Citronelle, AL: The Hotel, nd [ca. 1885]. Promotional. Oblong 12mo (9 x 15 cm). 8 pp. Front wrapper illustrated from a wood engraving of the hotel on a railway, situated in a stand of trees. Folding brochure includes four pages of promotional text for the hotel, emphasizing the climate and healthfulness of the area and amenities; a two-page listing of guests from the past “few seasons,” primarily from the Midwest; and an ad for the Mobile & Ohio Railroad. The hotel was built in 1882 and burned in 1914. Cover title: Hygeia Hotel Citronelle, Mobile Co., Ala. Apparently not recorded on OCLC. Original illustrated self-wrappers. Very good. Item #70296
