New Orleans, (LA): Lith. & Published by Blelock & Co., 130 Canal St, nd [1866-1868?]. Lithograph oval portrait, 15 7/8 x 14 ¼ inches; printed area, 12 ¾ x 9 7/8 inches. A waist-up image of Davis in suit jacket, vest, and tie looking to his left. OCLC locates two copies (AAS, Clements). American Antiquarian Society’s copy is a tinted version, dated “between 1866 and 1868”; The Lincoln Foundation Collection also holds a tinted version. Parrish & Willingham 6150 (dated “1861,” noting only the Museum of the Confederacy copy, without mentioning publisher’s address). Laid down on board, some foxing and toning outside image, a good example of a scarce Davis portrait. Item #69136
