[San Francisco, CA: 1915]. A season ticket folder full of coupons allowing daily admission to the Panama-Pacific International Exposition. Small leather wallet, folded to 3 x 5 in., stamped in gilt on the inside flap "Season Ticket Panama-Pacific International Exposition 1915." A booklet, printed on stiff card stock, numbered "869," is inserted in the wallet flaps. The owner's official 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 in. photo, stamped by the P.P.I.E. Dept of Admissions on March 15, 1915, is mounted on the verso of the front cover, is visible through an oval cut-out. His signature, C.E. Capwell (sp?), appears on the last page of the booklet. The remaining unused daily coupons, four to a sheet, dated June 19 - August 27, 1915 are still attached by brads. Some old soiling and toning, but overall very good. Item #68811

The Panama-Pacific International Exposition was held to celebrate the completion of the Panama Canal. It also showcased San Francisco's recovery from the devastating 1906 earthquake. According to the National Park Service, over 18 million people visited the fair during its nearly ten month run.
