PRINCETON UNIVERSITY YEARBOOK, 1914, F. SCOTT FITZGERALD'S FRESHMAN YEAR AT THE SCHOOL

[Princton, NJ: 1914]. Oblong 4to., 23 x 33 cm. [43] pp. of photos, each page tabbed in. Class photos, plus group photos of clubs and sports teams, most with white ink captions; small oval individual faculty and student photos (likely all upperclassmen), with printed copies of their signatures below the images. There is no other text. A handful of campus buildings are also shown. Pebble grain leather, "Princeton 1914" stamped in gilt on front board; all edges gilt. The photographer's name "White" is stamped on some of the images. Some rubbing to edges of boards, else very good. Fitzgerald's freshman class group photo as at p. [40]. There is also a group photo of the 1914 Triangle Club, the drama club for which Fitzgerald composed a musical. His involvement in this club and as a writer for the campus humor magazine, "The Tiger," led to failing grades in several of his other courses. One listing for this year on OCLC: Princeton.
