Montreal, Canada: H. & A. Allan (A. A. Stevenson, Printer, Montreal), 1871. Printed broadside, 19 ½ x 14 inches, employing several sizes and styles of type. Founded in 1819, the company managed to take over the Royal Mail contract between Great Britain and the United States and “by the 1880s, the Allan Line was the world’s largest privately owned shipping concern” (Wikipedia).
