Accompanied by two separate fragments of musical manuscript, one on an oblong sheet, 4 ¼ x 10 ½ inches, four bars on two staves, signed by him below the music, “John K. Paine / Cambridge, 1882,” the other on Harvard university notepaper, four bars on two staves, signed below the music “John K.
