From the “Farewell of Hiawatha,” [autograph title at head of page], autograph manuscript, signed by Foote in the upper corner, employing 12 staves, with lyrics, notated on a folio sheet of music paper, dated by the recipient verso “Rec’d June 11 / [18]90.”

From Foote’s Op. 11 (1886), a setting from Longfellow’s poem “The Song of Hiawatha.” Accompanied by two undated autograph notes, both signed by Foote, both on St. Botolph Club cards, to collector Edward F. Strickland, one forwarding an autograph, the other a photograph; a photograph of Foote as a young man (4 ¼ x 3 inches) mounted on card stock and signed in type “Marshall” on the mount below the photo, and signed by Foote verso, dated “`Boston / October 1898”; and a real photo postcard portrait of Foote as an older man (traces of mounting verso).
