Bell (1796-1869) served in the U.S. House of Representatives, 1827-1841, and in the U.S. Senate, 1847-1859; he ran for President of the U.S. on the Constitutional Union ticket in 1860, winning the electoral votes of Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia. Disbound pamphlet (removed from a pamphlet volume, lacking outer wrappers, with binding residue along spine). Text with some marginal ink and one addition, else very good. Item #68182
