Some wear and chipping to spine. Minor dampstaining on boards. A Frenchman, Lobstein was residing in New York at the time this work was prepared. One of the earliest American publications on the eye. This copy contains a curious inscription by a physician: "David Thayer / bought of a / Poor man in the / street Feb.23 '59." Also written on the front board "Lobsters on the semeiology of the Eye."
