containing approximately 225 photographs [of approximately 420], mostly 2 ½ x 3 ½ or 6 x 4 inches, picturing a couple named Virgil and Agnes and various friends and relatives, afield with their dogs, posing with game or guns, surveying their blinds or potential game area, etc. Game included various ducks (teal, mallards, blacks), rabbits, squirrels, quail, pheasant, snipe, doves, crows, hawks, fox, raccoon, and ground hogs; a dozen or so photos picture the folks fishing or with their catch. Other groups of photographs picture target shooting at “Camp Grant,” motorcycle and auto racing (with crashes), an airplane meet (with a crash), various homes and family gatherings, etc. Contemporary photograph album (gilt-stamped “Photographs” on upper cover), tied; upper joint cracked, but the images are very good. An excellent record of a southern family dedicated to the outdoors and associated sports. Item #67839
