WRITING ABOUT A SET OF HIS SELF-DESIGNED SPORTING-THEMED BUTTONS THAT HAD GONE ASTRAY IN THE MAIL, in two typed letters on his illustrated letterhead, signed October 30 and November 5, 1963, to Ed Zern, an editor and writer at Field & Stream and the intended recipient of the buttons, in New York.

4to. Each letter one-page. [Accompanied by:] Zern’s retained letter of November 5th, advising Bishop that a mail clerk at the periodical had been stealing correspondence that might have contained cash, probably took Bishop’s letter and was now in jail. Bishop’s second letter accompanied a second set of the buttons for Zern (1910-1994; outdoor humorist, author of the column “Exit, Laughing” and many books), not included here. Old fold lines, but very good. For the three pieces of correspondence, Item #67783
