First editions. 8vo. 38, (1, errata) and 33 pp. Rice (1807-1877 ) was serving as Pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Bardstown at the time of publication; he’s especially known for a series of debates on Christian Baptism with Alexander Campbell (1844) and another with Jonathan Blanchard on slavery (1845). American Imprints 26540 and 26541. OCLC locates one copy of the first title (Chicago) and four copies of the second (Chicago, American Antiquarian Society, Kenrick-Glennon Seminary, Texas-Austin).
