[Frankfort, KY]: Kentucky Executive Office, 1849. First edition (?). 8vo. 5 pp. Kentucky Governor J. J. Crittenden forewards a report from a General Assembly Committee on the construction of a “Monument to those who have fallen in defence of their country” to the General Assembly for action; the monument would be constructed in the Frankfort Cemetery, with the names of “distinguished citizens of Kentucky as perished in the Indian Wars, the late war with Great Britain, and during the present war with Mexico, to be inscribed thereon.” The monument was constructed in 1850. Apparently not recorded on OCLC. Original printed self-wrappers. Some foxing, but a very good unopened copy. Item #67756
