Louisville, KY: 1864. Printed handbill, 7 7/8 x 4 7/8 inches. Ewing (1826-1905), a hero at Antietam, later commanded a brigade under his brother-in-law Gen. Sherman, brought some humanity to the internecine struggle in Kentucky during his Louisville service, and ended the war commanding a division in North Carolina. Old fold lines, else very good.
