Tobin, Vance House, in San Antonio, knowing she would "promote their comfort & a pleasant visit." Item #67360
William Tobin (1833-1884), a former Texas Ranger, converted the Vance Building into a hotel in the 1870s. His wife Josephine Smith was the daughter of a mayor of San Antonio.
