Publishers black pebbled cloth, front board with gilt stamping, spine reinforced with black cloth tape. Ex-libris of NY Mercantile library with usual stamps. Some edge chipping, corners of boards worn. A good copy. The Yosemite illustrations are considered to be the first images of the area used in a book. They were done from drawings by Thomas A. Ayres. The caption title on the frontis. misspells the name of the falls as "Yo-Hamite Falls," which a previous owner has corrected in pencil.
