Bonham.” The younger brother of James Butler Bonham who was killed at the Alamo, Bonham served as a junior officer in the Seminole War and commander of the 12th U.S. Infantry Regiment during the Mexican War, commanded a brigade at the first battle of Bull Run, and, as governor is perhaps best remembered for demanding that more land be used to produce food instead of cotton.; Doughty was apparently an autograph collector from Brooklyn, New York.
