Sayre, February 1, 1924, on his Supreme Court of Alabama letterhead, to former Alabama Attorney General, J.Q. Smith (1881-1947), informing him that he would be running in the upcoming primary to retain his seat and asking for his support; Sayre (1858-1931) served on the Alabama Supreme Court, 1909-1931, Zelda (1900-1948) being the youngest of his eight children. Original green cloth (with very little fading) stamped in blue, illustrated dust jacket (price-clipped, spine faded, rubbed, some wear at head of spine and corners, vertical crease in front panel).
