Savannah, GA: Industrial Dept., Central of Georgia Railway, nd [ca. 1930]. First editions. 9 volumes. Each pamphlet: 8vo, 12 pp., illustrated from photographs, maps, one double-page. For each of these promotionals, all for cities and towns south and east of Birmingham, there are sections on location, civic improvements, transportation facilities, climate, taxes, local industries, labor supply, textile activities, etc. Cover titles: Textile Opportunities in the South: Facts Concerning Alexander City [and each of the other towns and cities], Alabama. OCLC locates one copy for seven of the pamphlets (all Samford), the other two (Leeds, Opelika) being unrecorded there. A similar number of like pamphlets were produced for towns in Georgia, but as far as we have been able to determine, this is a complete set for Alabama. Original illustrated wrappers, stapled.
