An oft reprinted tale first published in 1760, this edition first appeared in 1821 (in octavo, with 15 plates). Tooley 283: “Best scandalous chronical of the day, the supposedly fictitious characters being taken from prominent men of the time.” Original cloth-backed boards, printed paper labels; some scattered foxing, but a very good, fresh copy.
