[Philadelphia, PA ? Indian Rights Association], 1316 Filbert St. [1887]. Small broadside. 23 cm. Text addressed as a letter, signed in type by J. B. Harrison states he has just returned from a six month western tour of reservations including the Omaha, Winnebago and Santee in Nebraska, the Yankton, Lower Brule, Crow Creek, Cheyenne River, Standing Rock, Rosebud and Pine Ridge in the Dakotas, Crow in Montana, Yakima, Nisqually, and Skokomish in Washington, and the Klamath and Modoc in Oregon. Harrison makes some basic statements on what he had observed, "having examined the schools, farming, home-life and general condition and progress in civilzation of the Indians...." A manuscript note to the author on bottom of page and continuing on the verso from W. H. Hare asking that two copies be sent to Bishop Hare in Sioux Falls, Dakota. Item #66635
