Contemporary ownership signature of “Sarah Archer, her book Sep'r. the 13, 1786," followed by a second, more emphatic inscription, in a somewhat later hand, “Sarah Archer / My Book,” on front flyleaf. ESTC 91898. Contemporary red morocco, boards framed by a thin gilt rule, enclosing ornamental gilt panels with decorative floral tooling and floral corner pieces, spine gilt with ornaments and rules between raised bands, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt.
