Washington. [DC]: Gales & Seaton, 1833. Broadsheet. 54 x 40 cm. 2 pp., text in five columns. Old folds, lightly toned and foxed. Very good. Pres. Jackson's message follows up on his famous nullification proclamation of December 10, 1832, conveying to Congress the implications of South Carolina's recent actions and threatening the use of force if the State refuses to collect duties within its borders. The text of Jackson's decree occupies more than 8 of the ten columns here, the balance being taken up with legal notices. American Imprints 22097 and 22103 for pamphlet printings. OCLC records a single copy of this broadsheet, at Williams College. Item #66207
