Housed in publisher's plain card slipcase. Very good in dust jacket and slipcase. The manuscript (the only existing Orwell manuscript) originated with Orwell's widow, who offered it to a charity auction, where it ultimately ended up in the vault in the rare book room of Scribner's Bookstore in New York. It was acquired by bookseller and publisher Dan Siegel, who offers a lengthy preface to this edition.
