WOMEN IN A CLASSROOM RECEIVING MUSICAL INSTRUCTION

NP: np, No date. Early 1900s? Original photograph, 19.5 x 15.5 cm. image, mounted on stiff card stock, 30 x 35 cm. A small white ink number appears in the lower left corner of the image. A female instructor points at a blackboard filled with chalk images of musical notation while eight women listen attentively. On the tables in front of them are individual piano keys and printed cards with musical notes, etc. The setting is a classroom which was perhaps used by young children as there are some boards behind the women which are painted with bunny rabbit silhouettes. Based on the women's clothing, this photo was likely taken in the early 1900s. Item #66081
