The five advantages include (1) “unrestrained communication with others,” (2) ”the best works on education [are] explained, “ (3) “they fasten the attention of every mother on the great and responsible work of educating her immortal children for heaven,” (4) “opportunity is afforded to present the united prayer of faith,” and (5) one “may learn how to take their infants to the Savior.” For a history of Maternal Associations, see Richard A.
