A Canadian poet from Toronto, Lidstone published a similar verse tribute to Henry Clay (printed in Buffalo, N.Y.), another prominent American who died in 1852. First line: “Suspended be the music of the spheres”; last line: “Tears flow fast, and I can write no more.” OCLC locates one copy (Massachusetts Historical Society).
