Newark, OH: Advocate Printing Co. for Wyeth-McCully-Davis, nd [ca. 1891]. Illustrated advertising broadside, 29 x 11 ¼ inches, three of the illustrations signed in the engraving “Krehbiel Co., Cin O.,” “Cohen Co., Cin,” and “Ware Bros., PA.” Among the offerings are some of the earliest Horse Drawn Oil and Gasoline Tank Wagons, as well as sled type “Runner Attachments” which could turn any wagon or carriage into a sleigh quickly and easily. The engravings of the Oil and Gasoline Tank Wagons resemble the finest carriages and farm wagons of the period with surrey-type canopies and quite delicate, wooden spoke wheels. The illustrated wagons include one with advertising on the tank for “The Atlantic Refining Co.” of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and “R.T. Cummins Modern Oil Delivery Company.” Wyeth-McCully-Davis Co. not in Romaine. Apparently not recorded on OCLC. Folded, some soiling on verso, but a very good example of a visually appealing advertising broadside. Item #65819
