First edition, six parts [of eight eventually published]. 4to. iv, [5]-50 pp. 22 engraved views of New York on 11 leaves, double-page hand-colored folding map of lower Manhattan; also bound in are the front wrapper from Part I, the prospectus that was included in part two, and the notice concerning the appearance of the map. The engraved views include "Broadway from the Park," "Bowling Green," "Residence of Philip Hone, Esq.," "City Hall," "Navy Yard," "Leroy Place," "Shot Tower," "Elysian Fields Hoboken," "City Hotel, Trinity & Grace Churches," "Lunatic Asylum," "Merchant's Room Exchange," and 11 others.
