GALESVILLE UNIVERSITY. [caption headline, followed by eight paragraphs of text, tables for tuition rates, and a calendar for the 1866-67 terms]. Signed in type by the school’s president, “H. Gilliland].

(Galesville, WI): The university, 1866. Printed broadside, 11 x 7 1/8 inches, the title in bold capitals, the text enclosed within a bold rule. The text describes the school’s location in Trempealean County, its general principles, its library of more than 4000 volumes, and boarding possibilities; with a nod toward the recently concluded national conflict a note announces, “Disabled Soldiers admitted at half Tuition.” The school operated under several names, 1854-1939. Apparently not recorded on OCLC (which seems to locate only an 1863-1864 catalogue for the school prior to 1875). Folded, but very good. Item #65454
