Front endpaper lacking, overall toning to text block. McCoy, Freedom of the Press, H 36 for the London 1793 edition; McCoy 1H39, for the English 1822 edition. Long notes by McCoy under both editions: "This eloquent statement, delivered by a prominent Baptist minister, is a landmark in the development of the idea of press freedom." Shoemaker 29114, numerous institutional copies. It is curious that McCoy did not record this American edition. Item #64564
