Original brown cloth blind-stamped binding which shows bumps and wear at the corners of the covers, some wear to the ends of the spine. Foxing to endpapers. ATWATER 320: States the appearance of frontis. indicates that it is a second, though the publisher is listed as Cady and Bubgess and that the first was done by L. Barney in 1847 a conundrum. It also has no leaf of plates called for in the second. "The water-cure book differs from these two earlier mentioned books in that the text is almost entirely Shew's and not published extracts from the published works of English hydropaths." Item #64522
