Foxing and overall toning to edges, although the lithographic image is bright, outer edge of the first page of music has been strengthened with a paper strip, not affecting printing. Thumb--born Charles Stratton--married Lavinia Warren in New York on Feb. 10, 1863, "...and the New York newspapers in their efforts to report the event adequately almost forgot the Civil War." --DAB.
