Boston, (MA): Wm. C. Lears, 26 Washington Street, [1850]. Broadside. 39 x 25 cm. Gray paper, text enclosed in an ornamental border, with the names of the committee of nine, and the town clerk. Dated in type "Reading, April 1, 1850" at conclusion. A separation and a couple of tiny holes without loss along one of several old folds, light edgewear, but overall quite good. Body of the text lists 39 roads with their new names, plus five other streets already named, and that "said Committee further report that they have put up seventy-three boards, bearing the names of said streets, as above named, in all places deemed ... necessary and proper, at an expense of forty dollars and sixteen cents." Included is a fair amount of information on where people lived, many of the roads also mention the names of the local residents. No OCLC. Item #64435
