[post 1900?]. Early restrike of a color lithograph, originally published by W. Stephenson & Co. in 1855, Wm. Boell, lithographer. A street scene, image size 56 x 74 cm., on a 61 x 82 cm. sheet. Buildings with business names prominently displayed are depicted on the north side of Park Place. A bustling street scene shows horse drawn carriages and wagons passing by on the cobblestone street, men in top hats conversing on the sidewalk. Two or three small signs advertising other businesses are shown on sandwich boards or signs propped against lamp posts or on the passing wagons. A few shallow tears along the lower margin, not affecting the image. A very nice copy. Item #62757

William Boell, the lithographer, was known for his city views, advertising posters, trade cards, etc., first in New York City, and later in Philadelphia.
