Jones (1915-1987), a physician in Fredericksburg, Virginia, assembled a wonderful collection of Americana emphasizing the south; it was sold following his death. Howes J-194. Larned 574: "The writer's object is to give a general account of the southern Indians, principally those of the Maswkoki stock, at then time of the first coming of Europeans among them, and to interpret the relics found by reference to the early writers."
