Illustrated from photographs, plates, interior and exterior views of the hotel, other New Orleans architecture; includes a 23-page section "New Orleans as a Winter Resort." Issued as a celebration of the opening of the third St. Charles Hotel (the first two burned in 1851 and 1894, respectively), the original being one of the first great hotels in the United States.
