Title page in red and black, top 1/2 in. clipped away, taking a previous owner's signature. Tear into text on p.385, affecting a word or two. John Selden (1585-1654), a legal scholar, takes up the debate over whether tithes were the purview of secular courts or divine right and the church. Item #62210
