The following was a subscription proposal for this Disciples of Christ publication, which appeared as an ad in the "Millennial Harbinger" [Bethany, VA: 1847], Vol. 4, p.240: "THE GOSPEL PROCLAMATION. The undersigned proposes to commence the publication of a monthly pamphlet with the above title about the first of May or June next to be entirely devoted to the defence of the faith and practice of primitive Christianity. Terms- The Proclamation will contain twelve numbers to the volume and forty eight pages to the number making a book at the close of the year of about 580 large duodecimo pages of beautiful white paper and fair impression from new type each number being neatly put up in printed covers and mailed regularly to subscribers on the first of every month at one dollar per year to be paid on the reception of the first number or within three months. Those who wish to obtain the Proclamation from the commencement will forward on their names immediately Address the undersigned (post paid) at Lloydsville Belmont county Ohio. Those who obtain subscribers in their own vicinity for the "Proclamation" shall receive a fair compensation for their trouble NB: No money is required until the specimen number of the work is received so that each subscriber shall know what he is getting before he sends on his dollar ALEXANDER HALL Editor March 1846."
