Later printing (first published in St. Louis in 1820, then reprinted in Cincinnati in 1825, 1827, and 1830 and annually there, 1832-1841). Oblong 4to. 200, 40 pp. Shape-note notation for three or four voices. Leather spine with yellow printed boards, which are age darkened and rubbed and worn at edges. Fine example of what was the standard American songster. All of the early editions are uncommon in trade. Item #62141
