Inscribed by the author to South Carolina financier and philanthropist Bernard Baruch "For Mister Bernie /with love, as / always. / Bob." With Baruch's "Little Hobcaw" bookplate on the front pastedown. Hobcaw was Baruch's 16,000 acre hunting retreat in coastal South Carolina, near Georgetown, now a nature and research preserve. Still a very good copy with a wonderful association. Two-tone cloth, illustrated dust jacket (a little chipped along the top edge, small stain to lower front flap, bleeding through to pastedown).
