History of the mountains of the Julian Alps in Slovenia, with special attention to their highest peak, Triglav. Mountaineer Robert L.M. Underhill's copy, with his ownership stamp on the front endpaper. Underhill (1889-1983) was an "American mountaineer best known for introducing modern Alpine style rope and belaying techniques to the U.S. climbing community in the late 1920s and early 1930s" (Wikipedia); he edited the journal "Appalachia" for the Appalachian Mountain Club, 1928-1934.
