Session catalogue. 8vo. viii, 75 pp. Includes a brief history of the school, a list of trustees, courses of study, and a report on the school from the principal to the trustees that includes detailed reports on the various school departments, written by the department heads; a 4-page supplement (dated November, 1886) is laid in. Though the teaching foundations for the school for freedmen were laid during the Civil War, it formally opened under the name given here in 1868 (a division dedicated to teaching Native Americans began in 1878 and operated until 1923).
