The first directory of this Cumberland Valley town, founded by New Hampshire temperance activists as the East Tennessee Land Company, in the late 19th century; includes the town's history, a directory of residents and merchants, advertisements, city services, and a map of connecting railways. OCLC locates six copies (Southwest Kansas, Appalachian State, Balch Institute, Knox Co. Public, Memphis, Tennessee State Library). Hinges starting, but a very good copy. Original blue cloth. (#4398).
