Parrish & Willingham 6379 (New York Historical Society, Virginia State Library, North Carolina). OCLC shows wider holdings, with 23 copies located, including seven in Virginia, but without a copy showing in former Confederate states Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida, and South Carolina. Near contemporary pencil signature of a Shelby County, Tennessee, woman, pencil doodling and notes on endpapers, some foxing, browning from flowers that were once laid in; still a good solid copy. Original brown cloth (heavily rubbed, soiled), gilt spine title (mostly rubbed away). (#8293). Item #61171
