According to a brief history of the Warrock-Richardson almanac, published in their 1874 edition (present here): John Warrock began publication of his almanac, based on calculations made by David Richardson, in ca.1815. Upon Warrock's death in 1858, the almanac was continued under the title "Warrock's Edition of Richardson's Almanac." When Richardson died in 1871, he left behind calculations through the year 1873. Richardson's friend and colleague R.K. Bowles was tapped to continue his work, beginning with the 1874 almanac.
