Our New Cards "Fish Series" Set of 30 Designs [caption title from card verso]

Ephemera. 21 of 30 chromolithographic cards (each 1 7/8 x 3 inches) from this series, each picturing a different game fish on recto, with fish description, instructions for collecting the set, and advertising matter for Arm & Hammer Soda on verso; a completed set of 30 could be redeemed for "a Souvenir Book, containing a full set gotten up in an artistic style." Accompanied by (1) a second partial set, 16 of 30 cards; (2) 5 more duplicates; (3) 3 of 30 from a miniature fish series (each card 1 1/2 x 2 3/8 inches), with two duplicates; (4) 9 of 30 from a Game Bird Series, with one duplicate; and (5) one of 30 from a Beautiful Bird series. OCLC locates one copy of the Arm & Hammer "Book of Fishes" (California-San Diego). Most of the cards are a bit rubbed, several with a tiny chip, but a very good lot of 58 Arm & Hammer Game fish and bird cards. (#7961). Item #60763
