[Baltimore]: Wm. Wooddy & Son, prs. nd (1840's-1850's?). Printed broadside advertisement (or label?), 8 x 6 in. Left margin ragged, right margin chipped with some loss (not affecting text), old staining; clean tear across approx. two-thirds of the sheet, between paragraphs, so no text lost. The proprietors extoll their compounded remedy for destroying worms, and describe the symptoms of the disease. Smith & Atkinson produced their medicines on Baltimore Street, Baltimore, Maryland from the 1830's. Item #60291

The printer William Woody (ca.1788-1863) was active as a printer in Maryland from about 1817; he had served in the War of 1812 as a lieutenant in the Maryland militia (obituary in the Baltimore Daily Gazette, 26 August 1863). A handful of titles published by Wm. Wooddy & Son appear on OCLC in the late 1840's and 1850's.
