DR. HARTER'S ALMANAC 1889. [cover title]

St. Louis, MO: The Dr. Harter Medicine Co., (1889). Black illustrated rust colored paperwraps. Illustration of the Harter Medicine Co. building on verso of front wrapper. 20 cm. (33) pp., printed on poor quality paper. Soiling and chipping to wrappers, some fading and dampstaining to rear wrapper, extending on to last few pages of text, at gutter, thumbnail sized closed tear to front wrapper (slightly affecting the illustration on verso). Small hole through text at upper left corner, with string threaded through it, presumably for hanging it for display. In text illustrations, including a humorous story of a man and a calf played out on subsequent pages. Patrons and friends are reminded that the Dr. Harter Medicine Co. has been annually addressing the public for 34 years, and producing an almanac for a quarter of a century. The text provides the usual offering of almanacs, plus descriptions of the various medicines produced by the company: Dr. Harter's Liver Pills, Dr. Harter's German Vermifuge Candy, Dr. Harter's Lung Balm, etc. Item #60285
