Hoxsey / From his Benevolent / Brother. / 1824"; the owner of this copy was most likely Benjamin F. Hoxsey (1802-1835) from Williamstown, Massachusetts, who graduated from Williams College in 1827 and became a minister. American Imprints 12577. Period brown leather binding, professionally rebacked, with the original spine laid down, double-gilt spine rules, gilt stamped red morocco spine label. Some old indentation marks (from binder’s tool?) on front board, text aged toned and foxed, two short closed tears to the first two leaves of text. Otherwise, a good, tight copy. Item #59940
